Infrastructure Committee Sets Agenda for 2007
Following the success of last year’s Infrastructure Committee meetings, the DeSoto Council has scheduled programs every other month for committee members which address infrastructure issues in DeSoto County. Meetings take place at the Boiling Point at 11:45. The schedule is listed below.
February 2: Wastewater/Stormwater; Speakers: DCRUA, Waggoner Engineering, Neel Schaffer Engineering and Municipal and County Representatives
April 13: State Legislator Report/Education Funding; Speakers: Local Legislative Delegation, Superintendent of Education
June 1: Transportation/I-269 Planning; Speakers: Bill Minor, Northern District Highway Commissioner; Jimmy Dickerson, MDOT
August 3: Telecommunications Growth Plans; Speakers: BellSouth, CenturyTel, Comcast representatives
October 5: Economic Development Project(s); Speakers: TBA
December 7 Comprehensive Planning – 2008 Plans; Speakers: Municipal/County Planning Department representatives
