Henry Ware has been listed as number 68 in Black Enterprise magazine’s top 100 list for
the year 2006. Black Enterprise recognizes the top 100 African-Americans in the automotive industry and business sectors annual in its June edition. Ware serves as president of Southaven Pontiac Buick GMAC, as a board member of General Motors Minority Dealers Association, and is Past Chairman of the DeSoto Council.
Dr. Robert Seymour of DeSoto Family Dental Care received the Rotary International Service Award for his efforts to install clean drinking water in Honduras and provide free dental care to people living along the Mosquito Coast. Seymour was on of only 150 Rotarians worldwide to receive the award, and he is the first non-Rotarian District Governor to receive the award. He has been a member of the Hernando Rotary Club for many years.
