M3 Alliance Marketing Efforts
As announced in the last newsletter, thanks to funding by a Mississippi Development Authority matching grant, the counties of DeSoto, Panola, Tate and Tunica have joined forces to market our northwest region of Mississippi. We recently returned from a productive visit to Chicago, visiting with a number of site selection consultants and real estate professionals to continue to spread the word about the fastest growing area of our state. Earlier in the Fall, we had scheduled similar visits in Atlanta and hosted a reception for the Memphis/DeSoto County commercial and industrial brokers/developers. These efforts have already paid off in heightening the visibility of our key location advantages and have resulted in calls for further information on investment opportunities.
DeSoto County is also embarking on completing a new marketing DVD, focused on industrial recruitment and quality of life. The M3 Mississippi, Memphis, Metropolitan webpage is nearly finished and should be live within the month. We will keep the membership posted as to the new opportunities this will afford our area.
