Baptist Memorial Hospital - DeSoto
7601 Southcrest Parkway, Southaven (662) 349-4000
Built on a 180-acre tract of land a few miles from the Tennessee state line, Baptist Memorial Hospital - DeSoto in Southaven opened in 1988. Since then, the five-county area surrounding the hospital has grown tremendously, and Baptist DeSoto is expanding to meet the needs of the community.
Construction began in 2004 on a $175 million expansion that will add 400,000 square feet and a ten-story bed tower and will increase the number of total beds in the hospital to 339, which will allow the hospital to offer all private rooms. A new and expanded emergency department will be added as well as additional operating suites and space for future expansion. The tower is scheduled to open in November 2006.
Baptist-DeSoto offers state-of-the-art servies, including the Baptist DeSoto Outpatient Diagnostic Center, Women's Center, critical care unit with open-heart surgery and a radiation/oncology center.
